Mr. Thai Van Ky (Hanoi) personally kneads and transforms clay into unique and eye-catching motorbike models.
Although he is a delivery man for a company in Hanoi, Thai Van Ky (34 years old) has a passion for motorbike models and the art of creating sculptures from clay.
He has completed a collection of more than 50 exquisite and beautiful motorcycle models that look like the real thing.
Talking about the opportunity to make car models, Mr. Ky said that he knew about clay since he was in 3rd and 4th grade. "When I was young, I often went to my neighbor's house and played with clay with my friends. The clay was flexible, had eye-catching colors, and had a fragrant smell that made an 8-year-old boy like me very excited. From that hobby, I experimented and practiced molding my favorite animals to make toys," Mr. Ky shared.
In 2023, Mr. Ky started a small project with videos recording the process of making clay motorbike models and posting them on social networks. "Last October, my daughter asked to buy clay to play with. Her words rekindled my passion for making clay motorbike models," said Mr. Ky.
According to the 9X guy, it takes about 3 days to make a clay motorbike model, from researching the shape and proportions to make it as realistic as possible to the kneading stage.
The model cars here are diverse with many brands such as Honda, Piaggio, Suzuki, Yamaha... In addition, there are also large displacement motorcycle models, electric motorbikes.
