Phuc Son Group Chairman Nguyen Van Hau (aka Hau “Phao”) was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Ministry of Public Security’s Investigation Agency to clarify the act of forgery and false declaration of revenue causing damage to state assets.
On February 26, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency initiated a criminal case of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" occurring at Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company, Thang Long Investment, Trade and Real Estate Joint Stock Company and related units according to Decision No. 16/QD-CSKT-P7.
On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued Decisions to prosecute the accused and Arrest Warrants to temporarily detain Nguyen Van Hau (commonly known as "Hau Phao"), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company and 5 employees, related subjects including: Nguyen Thi Hang (Deputy General Director of Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company); Do Thi Mai (Chief Accountant); Hoang Thi Tuyet Hanh (Accountant); Tran Huu Dinh (Director of Nam A Group Investment Joint Stock Company) and Nguyen Hong Son (freelance worker), for committing acts of forgery, false declaration, leaving out of accounting books of revenue, related assets... causing particularly serious damage to the State, violating Clause 3, Article 221 of the Penal Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2017).
After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved the above decisions and procedural orders, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency delivered and implemented them in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Currently, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency is continuing to urgently investigate, verify, and consolidate evidence to clarify the criminal acts of the prosecuted defendants, the actions of related subjects, and verify assets to recover and thoroughly seize them in accordance with the provisions of law.
