Inside the hotel with gold-plated furniture in Dubai

Champagne flowing constantly to serve guests, 24-karat gold facial service and VVIP (super VIP) tent with a suspended pool on cloud 9 are some of the expensive experiences at Atlantis - The Royal, Dubai.

The hotel opens in 2023. The three-day grand opening party included performances by Beyoncé and Swiss House Mafia. Despite being open just a year, the hotel was listed among the world's 50 best hotels by the prestigious travel service rating organization The World's 50 Best.

One of the attractions of Atlantis is the "gold". Amenities in 759 rooms are specially designed by the famous diamond company Graff. Bathrobes are from the luxury Italian textile brand Frette and toothbrushes, combs and razors are designed in gold. The 3,000 square meter spa offers gold facials, golden hour massages with gold-dipped volcanic stones and gold-infused aromatherapy oils to treat guests.

The hotel has 90 swimming pools. One of the most unique is the infinity pool on the 22nd floor (or Cloud 22) with sun loungers and D&G parasols, offering panoramic views of the famous Palm Island. Swimmers can sip cocktails and snacks like caviar bruschetta at the adjacent bar. There is also another lap pool overlooking the Arabian Gulf and has its own private cabanas.

Also on the 22nd floor is a super VIP suite, once rented by supermodel Kendall Jenner for her personal brand launch party, with a luxurious pool and two lounge areas, complete with a glass-bottomed soaking tub. The resort’s signature villas and suites also have access to a private terrace pool that reaches up to the 43rd floor.

The hotel representative said that resorts are usually built horizontally, but Atlantis is built vertically, creating a unique feature where visitors can easily enjoy panoramic views of Palm Island and the Dubai skyline. At the same time, thanks to its prominent location, the rooms give visitors a rare level of privacy.

The theme of “Water” is repeated throughout the resort, from the glass elevator surrounded by water to the three floor-to-ceiling vertical aquariums housing 7,200 marine species. In the lobby is a 36-foot-tall stainless steel structure shaped like water droplets, symbolizing the first raindrops in the desert.

Royal Club members can enjoy complimentary champagne all day, daily afternoon tea, and Atlantis has 17 dining options, with chefs from “world-renowned” chefs, the hotel said.

For the super-rich, the hotel has a 1,100-square-foot, four-bedroom duplex. Beyoncé and Jay Z stayed here when they performed for the hotel's opening. The apartment, called the Queen's Penthouse, has its own elevator. The entrance is flanked by 100-year-old olive trees. The apartment has 360-degree views of Palm Island and the Gulf, a private infinity pool and amenities provided by French fashion house Hermes. There is also a library, a cinema room, three dining areas and a promise of "a unique experience for guests."

Guests booking this room will enjoy free airport pick-up, products from Graff and Valentino brands are also brought into the room for guests to have a private shopping experience. Famous chefs from the hotel's restaurants will cook for guests in the private kitchen, with butler service and bartenders always ready to serve guests' every request 24/7.

Hotel rooms start at $1,300 during peak season and $100,000 for a unique penthouse.
