The increase in world gold prices has pushed the price of gold bars at SJC Company to 70.6 million VND/tael, while the purchase price of SJC gold bars is 800,000 VND/tael lower, at 69.8 million VND/tael. Compared to this morning, the purchase price of SJC gold bars has increased by about 200,000 VND/tael.

At PNJ Company, the selling price of SJC gold bars is 70.5 million VND/tael, while the buying price is 69.7 million VND/tael.

The selling price of 9999 gold rings and jewelry gold also increased following the world gold price. The listed price of 9999 gold rings at the end of today at SJC Company was 59.85 million VND/tael, buying price was 58.85 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, 9999 gold jewelry is sold at 59.55 million VND/tael, bought at 58.75 million VND/tael.

99% gold jewelry is also selling for nearly 59 million VND/tael, but the buying price is 1.2 million VND/tael lower than the selling price.

Thus, compared to the middle of this year, the selling price of gold jewelry has increased by 3.2-3.5 million VND/tael due to the increase in world gold price and exchange rate.

Some gold shops said that demand for gold rings and jewelry has recently increased due to the peak wedding season.

"Although the price of gold has increased, because it is an indispensable item in wedding ceremonies, gold shops can still sell it. However, following the trend, jewelry must also be thinner and lighter to reduce the 'pain in the wallet' of buyers," said the owner of a gold shop in Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City.
