Three universities to hold aptitude tests in July

Three universities will organize aptitude tests in early July to meet the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In the enrollment plan announced at the end of March, Hanoi University of Architecture said that this year it will enroll 2,430 students using four methods, including considering academic records, based on high school graduation exam scores, aptitude test combined with graduation exam scores, and direct admission according to the ministry's regulations.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, Hanoi University of Architecture also accepts reserved results from 2023 and 2022.

In particular, the admission method combining graduation exam scores with aptitude is applied to majors and majors using the combination V00, V01, V02, H00, H02. The aptitude subject is Fine Arts Drawing or Fine Arts Drawing, Color Composition, depending on the major. The remaining subjects in the combination can be Math, Physics, Literature, English, calculated according to the 2024 graduation exam score.

Hanoi University of Architecture opens registration for aptitude test from April 23 to June 5, the test fee is 400,000-450,000 VND, depending on the subject. The specific test schedule is as follows:

With the method of considering transcripts, the school uses the scores of 5 high school semesters (except semester II, grade 12) of the subjects in the combination. Candidates graduating this year and previous years can register for admission using this method.

Vietnam National Academy of Music The aptitude test will be held on July 13 and 14 for intermediate level students and July 15 and 16 for university level students. The test fee is 700,000-800,000 VND. The school will accept test registration from July 10 to July 11.

This year, the Vietnam National Academy of Music will recruit 480 students in both systems, using two methods: selection (15% of the target) and a combination of entrance exams and selection (85% of the target).

In particular, the Academy directly admits candidates who have won awards at international music competitions. Candidates who have graduated from intermediate vocational schools at the Academy are also eligible if they meet certain criteria such as having a graduation score of 9 or higher in their major, 9.5 points in Piano; an average score of 7 points in all subjects in the Music Knowledge block...

With the combined admission exam method, candidates need to have an average score of Literature in three years of high school; the score of the last three years of the General Culture program at the intermediate vocational level and the high school exam score of Literature.

Literature score is an admission requirement, not counted in the total admission score but must be 5 or higher (on a scale of 10).

Exam subjects include General Music Knowledge; General Piano (for majors in Music Composition, Music Conducting, Musicology) and specialized subjects.

This year, the Central University of Art Education will enroll 1,670 students, using three methods: direct admission, consideration of academic transcripts or graduation exam scores, and consideration of scores combined with aptitude test scores.

Of which, 14 majors consider talent combinations such as: N00 (Literature; Vocal or Dance; Music appreciation, rhythm), H00 (Literature, Visual arts, Color composition), S00 (Literature, Cinema and stage talent 1, Cinema and stage talent), R00 (Literature, History, Art talent).

The aptitude tests will take place on July 11-12. For Literature or History in the admission combination, the school will use the average score of three years of high school or the graduation exam score. The condition for submitting an application is that candidates must achieve 5 points or higher. For the Pedagogy major, the required score is 6.5, plus a 12th grade academic record of good or higher or a graduation exam score of 6.5.

If the aptitude test score is excellent (from 9/10), the candidate only needs to have an average score of 5 or higher in Literature in 6 semesters.

The Central University of Fine Arts accepts applications from March 1 to 3 p.m. on June 30. Candidates complete the aptitude test on July 10. The fee for the aptitude test is 400,000 VND/major. If you register for two or more majors, the fee is 200,000 VND.

This year's university admission schedule begins on July 10. Candidates can register, adjust, and add admission wishes until July 25, with no limit on the number of times and wishes.
