Ms. Cuc's singing and performing pop music videos received millions of views and comments praising her voice and cute expressions.

“I just thought of singing for fun to forget my illness, but I didn’t expect to receive so much support and praise from everyone. Before, my son and I simply made videos and posted them on social media for fun, but now we tell each other to continue doing it because we want to spread the love of life and family bonding to many other people,” said Ms. Le Thi Cuc (born in 1963, in Tu Ky, Hai Duong).

Previously, Ms. Cuc and her son Nhat Bao Luan (born 2001) often recorded videos of themselves singing vibrant pop songs by Vietnamese singers such as Hoang Thuy Linh, Jack, Tang Nhat Tan... and then posted them on social networks.

Later, she became a fan of Son Tung M-TP so she often chose songs by the male singer from Thai Binh such as: Lac troi, Em cua ngay hom qua, Dung lam trai tim anh dau...

Just a short time after being posted, Ms. Cuc’s pop music videos immediately took the internet by storm, receiving millions of interactions. One video in particular attracted nearly 10 million views.

Under each video, many social media users also left comments, praising the singing ability, musical appreciation, and positive energy transmission of the 62-year-old woman.

"I really like the way you sing and your natural expressions. Looking at you, I remember my mother. I wish you good health to continue singing and spreading optimism to everyone," user Mai Ly wrote.

"Her voice is very emotional, gentle and pleasing to the ear. Watching her singing video makes me feel happier," commented Ngoc Pham.

"She is over 60 years old but can still sing songs for young people like that, that is admirable. Not everyone at this age can do that. Everyone watch and support her to make her happy," wrote nickname Hoang Anh.

Ms. Cuc said that up until now she has only focused on farming work, and has never sung or participated in local cultural and welcoming activities.

“There are only two of us living together in the house, and I myself have many illnesses (Mrs. Cuc has heart disease and a slipped disc - nv). My son encouraged me to sing for fun to forget my illness. At first, I was shy, but gradually I got used to it and found it more enjoyable,” said the mother in her 70s.

Every day, Ms. Cuc and her son often take advantage of their free time at noon to film videos, and practice singing late at night or on weekends.

Mrs. Cuc and her son practice pop songs to make a video, creating joy to overcome illness and spreading optimism and love of life to everyone.

The woman in her 70s said that to memorize a song and film a complete video, the mother and daughter encountered many difficulties.

She admitted that her singing voice is not good yet, and because of her old age, it is not easy for her to perform songs with fast rhythms and strange lyrics for young people.

“Before filming, my son had to guide me from expressions to movements to match the song. There were songs that took me a whole week to practice well, or sometimes we had to film over and over again, which was very tiring and discouraging. But he always encouraged me and we worked together to complete the video,” Ms. Cuc confided.

She also revealed that the video was made quickly, in just one night, because the song has easy-to-listen and catchy lyrics.

As the person behind Mrs. Cuc's series of million-view singing videos, Bao Luan expressed his admiration for his mother's efforts.

“At my mother’s age, memorizing a pop song with such a fast tempo in such a short time is really a challenge. However, I admire my mother because she does it all the way, without giving up. There were many nights when she stayed up late just to memorize the lyrics and record the song,” Luan said.

The young man added that he only instructed his mother to sing in the right rhythm and music, and kept everything else like voice, expression, etc. as natural as possible.
