In the first 8 months of 2024, Hai Duong attracted 46 more FDI projects, bringing the total number of valid FDI projects in the area to 577 projects.

According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Duong, in the first 8 months of 2024, the whole province attracted nearly 320 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI), equal to 93% compared to the same period last year. Of which, 46 new projects were granted with a total registered capital of 202.5 million USD, including 10 projects outside industrial parks and 36 projects inside industrial parks. New FDI projects are mainly in new industrial parks such as Dai An expansion, Phuc Dien expansion, An Phat 1 with production and business activities in the fields of energy, processing, manufacturing, stationery, etc.

In addition to newly licensed projects, the province adjusted capital increases for 23 projects with a total additional capital of 108.7 million USD and completed procedures for 21 capital contributions and share purchases by foreign investors in domestic enterprises.

By the end of August 2024, Hai Duong had 577 valid FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly 10.6 billion USD from 27 countries and territories. Hai Duong strives to attract 500 million USD of FDI capital in 2024, with realized investment capital of 850 million USD.
