6 solutions to improve foreign language skills and international integration for Hai Duong youth

Every year, the provincial Youth Union and 100% of grassroots and district-level Youth Unions have at least one propaganda activity to raise awareness about learning and practicing foreign languages, especially English; 100% of district-level Youth Unions organize at least one activity, foreign language course, and free online international integration skills for local youth. The Provincial Youth Union coordinates with the Provincial Student Association, the Provincial Youth Union Council, universities, colleges, and high schools to build and organize at least one foreign language playground, especially English, and activities to equip international integration skills for local youth and units...

This is one of the contents proposed by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province in the plan to implement the program "Supporting the improvement of foreign language capacity and international integration for Vietnamese youth in the period 2024-2030".

The Provincial People's Committee also set a target that by 2025, at least 100,000 young people will participate in and benefit from the activities in the plan; 80% of universities, colleges, high schools and 70% of specialized agencies of the Provincial Youth Union, District Youth Union or equivalent will establish or regularly maintain at least one foreign language and international integration club. By 2030, the above figures will be 200,000 young people and 100% of universities, colleges, high schools and specialized agencies of the Provincial Youth Union, District Youth Union or equivalent.

The program focuses on young people aged 6-30 in Hai Duong; implemented in the period 2024-2030.

The plan also proposes 6 solutions including: creating a favorable environment, building a space to support the improvement of foreign language skills and international integration; creating a mechanism for children, adolescents and young cadres to study and practice; providing documents, learning materials and forms for children to have the opportunity to access and improve foreign language skills; effectively investing in foreign affairs for children and adolescents and international integration in both breadth and depth; strengthening the mobilization of resources for international integration; raising awareness of Hai Duong children and adolescents about the importance of foreign languages ​​and international integration...

To effectively implement the plan, the Provincial People's Committee also assigned specific tasks to each department, branch, organization, and locality.
