Seeing an accident on the Sat River, three police officers on duty to protect the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee headquarters quickly jumped into the Sat River to rescue them.
Corporal Doan Trung Hieu, born in 2004, a soldier of the Target Protection Police Company, Mobile Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police) recounted that when he saw a large crowd gathered at the gate of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, he ran out to see what was happening. Seeing an accident, Hieu called his teammates to join the rescue.
Immediately, two corporals Pham Van Duc and Vu Duc Cong (both born in 2004) ran to the scene, jumped into the river, approached the car, and with a few people broke the car door to get the victim out.
Slightly injured in the hand when breaking the car door, Corporal Pham Van Duc said underwater rescue was very difficult. Once the trunk of the car was broken, it was impossible to reach the victim. Everyone had to flip the car over to break the driver's door to get the victim out.
But unfortunately the victim did not survive. The police officers said they felt very sad...
As reported, at around 7:00 p.m. on April 19, on Bach Dang Street (Hai Duong City), a traffic accident occurred when a Mazda CX5 car plunged into the Sat River, killing the driver.
The victim is Mr. Nguyen Ngoc H., born in 1967, currently living on Nguyen Tuan Street (Hai Duong City), from Gia Khanh Commune (Gia Loc), registered permanent residence on Truong My Street (Hai Duong City). Mr. H. is working in a business in Hai Duong City.
According to the information obtained by the reporter, before the accident, Mr. H. did not drink alcohol or beer. Mr. H. had high blood pressure.
