One of the 20 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces is a former student of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted.

Mr. Truong Thanh Tung, a former student of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, was nominated as one of 20 people to enter the online voting round for the award "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2021".

The Central Youth Union and the Council for the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2021" award have announced 20 official nominees for the online voting round of the award, including Mr. Truong Thanh Tung (born in 1989), currently a PhD and lecturer at Phenikaa University (Hanoi). Mr. Tung is a former student of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted.

Mr. Tung has many outstanding achievements such as: international patents on targeted cancer treatment substances that have been protected globally; Golden Globe Science and Technology Award 2021; 26 scientific research works published in international scientific journals and 2 domestic works...

In 2021, the Standing Committee of the Award Council received 138 nominations. Of these, 2 people from Hai Duong were nominated, including Nguyen Duc Nam Phuong (born in 2003), currently a student at the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Truong Thanh Tung. Both are former students of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted.
