Nguyen Van Ty posted videos with titles and cover photos that contained sensational, "view-baiting" content with false information about the security and order situation and caused panic among the people.
On the afternoon of June 3, information from the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien-Hue province said that the Department will strictly handle the subject who spread false information about the incident of Mr. Le Anh Tu (Thich Minh Tue) in Huong Tho commune, Hue city.
Specifically, the unit worked with Nguyen Van Ty (born in 1990, residing in Binh Duong province, manager of the YouTube channel "15s Binh Duong") about posting videos with titles and cover photos showing sensational content, "view-baiting" with false information about the local security and order situation and causing confusion among the people.

Nguyen Van Ty wrote a report and pledged not to repeat similar actions; at the same time, he will accept all forms of handling according to the provisions of the law.
Inspectors of the Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien-Hue province requested Nguyen Van Ty to remove videos posted on YouTube channels and social networks.
According to Chairman of Huong Tho Commune People's Committee Le Van Thin, on the evening of June 2, Mr. Le Anh Tu and the group of people walking for alms left the commune; the people who followed him also dispersed and no longer gathered.
Previously, information from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs on the morning of June 3 said that Mr. Le Anh Tu had voluntarily stopped walking for alms.
According to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Le Anh Tu (Thich Minh Tue, born in 1981 in Ky Van commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province; permanent residence registration at village 6, Ia To commune, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province) currently has no fixed residence address and has not yet made a citizen identification card.
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha affirms that Mr. Le Anh Tu is not a Buddhist monk; Mr. Tu himself does not consider himself a Buddhist monk, but is only a citizen studying and practicing according to the teachings of Buddha.
From 2017 to 2023, Mr. Le Anh Tu practiced self-cultivation, begging for alms, and walked from the South to the North and vice versa 3 times.
During that process, Mr. Le Anh Tu's travel and practice of his vows took place smoothly, without any difficulties or obstacles and without affecting security and order.
2024 is the fourth time Mr. Tu has walked from Khanh Hoa province, following the main road to Cao Bang-Ha Giang and is going back.
However, on the return journey of this fourth walk, a large crowd gathered to follow Mr. Le Anh Tu, affecting security, order and the environment.
Notably, on May 30, 2024, a man in the group named Luong Thanh Son (residing in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) suffered from heat stroke, multiple organ failure, and gastrointestinal bleeding leading to death.
Next, on June 2, two women who were following Mr. Tu and his group suffered from heatstroke, exhaustion, and collapsed on the road. The authorities promptly took these two women to the hospital for treatment.
In response to the above unfortunate incident, the authorities met and discussed with Mr. Le Anh Tu about the State's consistent policy of respecting freedom of belief and religion of all people; local authorities always care and create conditions for Mr. Le Anh Tu to walk and practice according to his wishes, but must ensure the safety of people's lives and health and social stability.
Mr. Le Anh Tu has clearly recognized the rights and obligations of a citizen and voluntarily stopped walking for alms.
