Hong Du Commune (Ninh Giang) mobilized over 60 billion VND to build advanced new rural areas.

Comrade Tran Van Quan, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Ninh Giang district attended the ceremony.

Hong Thai commune is the first commune in Ninh Giang district to achieve new rural standards in 2015. Hong Du commune achieved new rural standards in 2016. After merging the two localities into the new Hong Du commune, the local Party Committee, government and people continued to implement the program of building advanced new rural areas, creating a breakthrough in agricultural and rural development.

The total local budget mobilized for the construction of advanced new rural areas is over 60 billion VND. People have donated nearly 3,000 m2 of land to build rural roads.

Focusing resources on infrastructure construction, from 2020 to now, Hong Du commune has built 26 new roads with a total cost of more than 22 billion VND. The whole commune currently has 238 business and service households, 7 garment processing establishments regularly creating jobs for thousands of workers. The average income per capita in 2023 of Hong Du commune reached 68.5 million VND. The poverty rate is 0.36%.

The Party Committee, government and people of Hong Du commune are determined to implement the criteria and strive to reach the model new rural area goal this year.
