Vietnam ranked 15th in the list of 20 best countries in the world to travel in 2024 by Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
According to the ranking of the 20 best countries in the world in 2024 (The Best Countries in the World) announced by American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler in October, Vietnam is in 15th place with 89 points.
Readers of Condé Nast Traveler commented that Vietnam attracts tourists thanks to its rustic and charming beauty. "With the number of foreign visitors on the rise since 2019, Vietnam is no longer a remarkable destination but a destination worth visiting," wrote the editor of Condé Nast Traveler.
According to data from the General Statistics Office, in the first 9 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed more than 12.7 million international visitors, exceeding the number of visitors for the whole year of 2023 at 12.6 million.
The number of international visitors to Vietnam grew positively in the first 9 months of 2024, with some markets fully recovering, up sharply compared to 2019, according to the National Tourism Administration.
The Department also predicts that with the current growth rate, Vietnam will complete the target of welcoming 17-18 million international visitors in 2024.
Condé Nast Traveler is a globally renowned travel magazine, launched in 1987. Its rankings are considered prestigious by travel experts because they are based on opinions from millions of international readers.
The ranking of the world's 20 best countries is part of the annual Readers' Choice Awards based on the evaluation of more than 575,000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine about the travel experiences in each country, considering the criteria of culture, landscape, tourism services and infrastructure.
