Low unemployment rate in industrial zones

According to statistics and analysis of the Center for Employment Services - Vocational Education (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), in the third quarter and the first 10 days of October 2023, enterprises in industrial parks only had about 600 people unemployed, accounting for 14% of the total unemployed workers in the province during the above period, down 32% over the same period last year.

The reason is that in industrial parks, most of the enterprises have foreign investment capital, large production scale, proactive market and raw material sources for production, so they can easily overcome the impact of the economic crisis and negative impacts after the pandemic.

Since the beginning of October, many businesses in industrial parks have recruited more workers instead of having to cut back like in the first months of the year.

In contrast, the number of unemployed people in enterprises outside industrial zones is high and decreasing slowly. In the third quarter and the first 10 days of October 2023, enterprises outside industrial zones had more than 2,600 unemployed workers, accounting for 68% of the total unemployed workers in the province and down 17% compared to the same period last year.
