Tu Ky district strives to complete support for construction and repair of 100% of temporary houses and severely damaged houses of meritorious people and martyrs' relatives before June 30.
On the morning of February 5, Tu Ky district (Hai Duong) organized a groundbreaking ceremony to build 3 houses for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs in Minh Duc, Chi Minh and An Thanh communes.
The cases receiving support for housing construction are the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Le in Truc Van village, Minh Duc commune (wife of a martyr); Ms. Pham Thi Cop in An Dinh village, An Thanh commune (resistance activist) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Van in Kim Doi village, Chi Minh commune (child of a martyr).
Each house has a construction area of 40-100 m2; support fund of 100 million VND from central and provincial budget, the rest is socialized.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee emphasized that supporting the construction of houses for people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor is an activity of profound humanitarian significance. This is a key task of social security work, demonstrating the concern of local Party committees and authorities to bring safe homes to people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs and poor households in the area.
The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that departments, offices, and forces assigned to support the construction need to arrange human resources and time to ensure the construction is on schedule. Local authorities and organizations join hands to support families of meritorious people and martyrs' relatives to soon have a decent house, ensuring living conditions.
Through screening, Tu Ky district has 214 poor households, families of people with revolutionary contributions, and relatives of martyrs in need of building new or repairing houses.
The district strives to complete 100% housing support for people with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives living in temporary houses, severely damaged houses, and poor and near-poor households before June 30, 2025.
