The People's Committee of Tu Ky district (Hai Duong) has just completed the cost estimate for surveying and general planning of Nguyen Giap urban area until 2045. According to the plan, Nguyen Giap commune will be developed into a type V urban area.
Previously, on June 6, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province decided to approve the general planning task of Nguyen Giap urban area until 2045.
According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, the total area of the Nguyen Giap urban planning area is 888.41 hectares. The north borders Quang Trung and Tien Dong communes, the south borders Luoc River and Vinh Bao district, the east borders Tien Lang district (in Hai Phong city), the west borders Tien Dong and Ha Thanh communes (Tu Ky).
This will be a new type V urban area, a district-level specialized center for economics, culture, education and training, healthcare, and a traffic hub that plays a role in promoting the economic development of Tu Ky district; developing green, ecological urban areas associated with high-quality agriculture, organic agriculture, and modern industry. The population of Nguyen Giap urban area by 2045 will be more than 20,000 people.
Currently, Tu Ky district has 2 type V urban areas: Tu Ky town and Hung Dao commune.
