On the night of April 2, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police issued an urgent notice to search for a prisoner who had just escaped from a prison of the Ministry of Public Security in Thong Nhat town, Yen Dinh district.
According to initial information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the prisoner who escaped from prison is Mai Van De, 33 years old, from Hai Giang commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province.
When escaping from Prison No. 5 (under the Police Department for Management of Prisons, Compulsory Education Facilities, and Reformatory Schools, Ministry of Public Security) located in Thong Nhat town, Yen Dinh district (Thanh Hoa), Mai Van De was wearing a blue T-shirt and striped shorts.
After escaping from prison, prisoner De took a taxi to Ha Linh commune, Ha Trung district (Thanh Hoa) and continued to escape.
On the night of April 2, Ha Trung District Police also informed local people about the above incident to raise vigilance and protect themselves and their families.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Police advise people in Ha Trung district and neighboring localities to be vigilant and be on guard against the prisoner who just escaped from the above mentioned prison who may steal or rob property or vehicles on the run.
