Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announced the 2025 Lunar New Year bonus for all employees, regardless of position, title, or degree.
According to MSc. Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the school's 2025 Lunar New Year bonus is 25 million VND/person. This bonus applies to all officials, employees, and school leaders who have worked for one year or more, regardless of title, position, or degree.
Mr. Son also added that those who have worked at the school for less than a year will be awarded a bonus based on the actual number of months worked. This bonus does not apply to seasonal or day-labor contracts.
"This is also the third year the school has applied a bonus of 25 million VND/person to all employees," he added.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announced a 28-day Lunar New Year holiday, starting from January 20 (December 21) to February 16 (January 19).
According to Master Pham Thai Son, scheduling a long Tet holiday is to help students, staff, lecturers, employees and workers have time to rest and restore their working capacity.
"The extended Lunar New Year holiday helps people living far from home to be proactive, avoiding the peak days before Tet when travel costs are high and traffic is overloaded," said Mr. Son, adding that the school's summer vacation used to last 8 weeks. From 2023, when the Lunar New Year holiday is longer, the summer vacation will be reduced to 7 weeks. Therefore, even though the Tet holiday lasts nearly a month, the school still ensures the plan and study program for the year.
