According to the summary report of 62/63 provinces and cities (excluding Quang Tri province) with 47,374 enterprises, corresponding to 4.79 million workers (accounting for 17.36% of the total number of salaried workers nationwide), the salary and bonus situation for Lunar New Year 2024 recorded an average bonus of 6.85 million VND/person and the highest level was more than 5.6 billion VND.

Specifically, regarding 2023 salary: Average estimated at 8.49 million VND/month, up 3% compared to 2022 (8.25 million VND/month).

The highest salary in 2023 is 834 million VND/month for a senior management position at an FDI enterprise in Dong Nai.

Regarding the 2024 Tet bonus, the 2024 New Year bonus: about 56.21% of enterprises (out of a total of 47,374 reporting enterprises) plan to give a 2024 New Year bonus with an average bonus of VND 1.85 million/person, an increase of 49% compared to the 2023 New Year bonus (VND 1.24 million/person).

The highest New Year's bonus in 2024 is VND 376.3 million/person, belonging to a senior management position at a foreign-invested enterprise in Vinh Phuc province.

Lunar New Year Bonus (Lunar Year of the Dragon): About 61.37% of enterprises (out of a total of 47,374 reporting enterprises) plan to give Lunar New Year bonuses for the year of the Dragon in 2024, with an average bonus of VND 6.85 million/person, equivalent to the Lunar New Year bonus for the year of the Cat in 2023.

The highest Lunar New Year bonus in 2024 is 5.68 billion VND/person, belonging to a senior management position at an FDI enterprise in Long An province.
