Speaking at a regular press conference, spokesman Lin Jian said that in order to promote exchanges between Chinese citizens and foreign citizens, China has decided to extend the visa exemption policy until December 31, 2025 for citizens of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg.
In 2023, China implemented various policies to revive the tourism industry, which was heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including a visa exemption policy.
