On the morning of August 8, the University of Foreign Languages ​​(ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) held a ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize the Chairman of the University Council, the Rector and re-appoint the Vice Rector for the 2023-2027 term.

At the ceremony, the school announced and awarded the Decisions on recognizing the Chairman of the School Council for Dr. Do Tuan Minh, the Principal for Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long and reappointing the Vice Principal Assoc.Prof.Dr. Lam Quang Dong.

Decision No. 2358/QD-VNU dated July 4, 2023 clearly stated the recognition of the Chairman of the University Council of Foreign Languages ​​for the 2023-2027 term. Accordingly, Dr. Do Tuan Minh - Party Secretary, Principal of the University was recognized to hold the position of the first Chairman of the University Council of Foreign Languages, Hanoi University. Dr. Do Tuan Minh is a former student of the English Faculty, class of 1988 - 1993 (K22) of the University. He taught and held management positions in many positions before being appointed as Principal of the University in 2016.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long - New Principal of the school acknowledged the trust and support of staff, lecturers, students over the past time.

Previously, on July 25, 2023, the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi signed Decision No. 2627/QD-VNU appointing Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long as Rector of the University of Foreign Languages.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long is a former student majoring in Psychology at Hanoi National University of Education. Before becoming the Principal, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long had many years of teaching experience as a lecturer and held many important positions such as: Head of Administration Department, Head of Personnel Department, Chairman of the Trade Union and 7 years of working as Vice Principal of the school since June 2016.
