Awarding the Decision of Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, presented the Decision on Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper to Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung.

On the morning of October 19, the Central Propaganda Department held a Conference to deploy the Decision on personnel work for the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda Department, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of departments and units of the Central Propaganda Department; leaders of departments and units under the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, presented Decision No. 2918-QD/BTGTW appointing Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, from October 18, 2023.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, delivered a congratulatory speech and assigned tasks.

Speaking at the assignment of tasks to comrade Nguyen Cong Dung - Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated comrade Nguyen Cong Dung on being trusted by the Department's leaders and the agency's Party Committee to take on the new responsibility. At the same time, he affirmed that comrade Nguyen Cong Dung is a cadre with basic training, has experienced many tasks, and regardless of his position, always strives to complete the assigned tasks well.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia stated: In the past time, the Central Propaganda Department, with its role of advising and assisting the Politburo and the Secretariat in the field of Propaganda, has successfully completed many key assigned tasks as well as many other breakthrough tasks related to theoretical, ideological, scientific and educational work...; in addition, the Central Organizing Committee has also highly appreciated its work in building the organization and apparatus of the propaganda system at all levels. Emphasizing that the achieved results are a source of common pride for the propaganda system nationwide, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia said that the organization and apparatus of the Central Propaganda Department has basically demonstrated the viewpoint of the 13th National Congress on building an organization and apparatus and a team of cadres who are united, loyal, honest, transparent, exemplary and proficient in their profession.

After careful preparation and high consensus through each step, the Party Committee and the leadership of the Central Propaganda Department decided to appoint Comrade Cong Dung as Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper. Congratulating Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung on his new position, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia believes that Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung will continue to inherit and promote the achievements of the previous generation, making the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper increasingly develop, worthy of being the voice of the Party, State and people on the Internet.

Comrade Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper Nguyen Cong Dung delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

According to Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia, comrade Nguyen Cong Dung was a former soldier and senior officer who was well-trained in the army; through his efforts in the military environment as well as at the press agency, he has demonstrated his capacity, qualifications, experience, dedication, and responsibility through training and challenges.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department hopes that in his new position, Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung will continue to promote a high sense of responsibility, effort, and solidarity with the Editorial Board, Party Committee, and Newspaper to develop the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper to its full potential, meeting new requirements and tasks. In the coming period, the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, with its mission of being a centralized, multimedia, and modern press agency, including the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Information Portal, Party magazines, the Party's official document system, connecting with Party committees at all levels and localities, etc., requires thoroughly grasping the Party's viewpoints, policies, and laws of the State; the State's press planning, solutions to implement Conclusion No. 26 of the Secretariat, towards building a centralized, multimedia, exemplary press agency not only of the Propaganda sector but also of local Party committees.

Comrade Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda Department, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department congratulated Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Cong Dung.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that electronic newspapers are still a new form of journalism, in which the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper, with its functions and tasks as the press agency of the Central Party, the voice of the Party, the State and the people on the internet, needs to continue to strive to be professional and modern.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia believes that in his new position, Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung will continue to be the center of solidarity, gathering forces, making efforts and unanimously building the Newspaper to be worthy of being the leading official electronic newspaper of the Central Party. Continue to invest in people and technology, strongly innovate content, diversify communication methods, wherever there are Party members, there will be the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper; wherever there are Party activities, there must be the voice of the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper; continue to prepare the next generation to meet the requirements and tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Cong Dung expressed his emotion when receiving the trust and assignment of the new task from the Central Propaganda Department. He also expressed his determination to unite with the staff and reporters of the Newspaper to strive to complete all assigned tasks, building the Newspaper into a centralized, multimedia, modern press agency, meeting the requirements and tasks of propaganda in the new period. He hoped that in the coming time, the Central Propaganda Department's leaders would continue to pay more attention and support so that the Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper can develop further.
