This was the statement of the head of Russia when speaking at the plenary session of the 20th Annual Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club held in Sochi.

According to a correspondent in Moscow, the first principle that President Putin outlined is to create a friendly environment and an inclusive world, where there are no artificial barriers to communication between people, the possibility of realizing creativity and human prosperity. Secondly, the diversity of the world must not only be preserved but also become the basis for global development.

Third, the world of the future is a world of collective decisions, not of individuals. Fourth, global security and lasting peace are built on the basis of respect for the interests of all. The Russian President affirmed the indivisibility of security, according to which it is impossible to ensure the security of some at the expense of the security of others. Fifth, justice for all and access to the benefits of modern development for all. Sixth, equality for all nations of the world.

President Putin has traditionally met with participants in the Valdai International Discussion Club Annual Meeting since the club was founded in 2004 (the first meeting was held in Veliky Novgorod near Lake Valdai, from which the forum takes its name). Since 2014, the Valdai Club meetings have been held in Sochi. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be held in Moscow, with President Putin attending via videoconference. This year's meeting was attended by 140 experts, politicians, diplomats and economists from 42 countries around the world under the theme "Just Multipolarity: How to Ensure Security and Development for All."
