In 2024, Thanh Mien district will promote the application of science and technology, promote clean agricultural production, in the direction of organic agriculture with high economic value in the district; continue to mobilize all resources to focus on upgrading and perfecting the traffic system and wastewater drainage system in villages and residential areas according to the criteria of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas in communes and towns in the district. Resolve difficulties related to land procedures of the people to create conditions for communes and towns to have revenue to upgrade infrastructure. Rectify and improve the management efficiency of cadres and civil servants, build a team of grassroots cadres to meet the requirements of the tasks; promote propaganda, mobilize all resources to carry out the work of ensuring environmental sanitation, building a "bright, green, clean, beautiful" landscape in villages, residential areas and agencies and units in the district.

In 2023, Thanh Mien district will implement 4 breakthrough projects in the fields of agriculture, urban transport, environment and Party and government building. As a result, the whole district has built 12,000 m2 of greenhouses, exceeding the plan by 20%; 5 more organic vegetable growing facilities; 3 cropping models linked to production and product consumption... Communes and towns in the district have upgraded and expanded 40.5 km of rural roads with a total cost of over 81.3 billion VND. The whole district has established 1,628 self-managed groups on environmental sanitation with 20,711 participants; 32,823 households have signed a commitment to protect the environment.
