Thanh Hong, a bright spot in socio-economic development of Thanh Ha district

In 2024, Thanh Hong commune implemented a series of large-scale investment projects in the infrastructure system. One of the key projects is the renovation of the 3.5 km long Thai Binh river dike, the dike surface is reinforced with concrete 5 m wide and 20 cm thick. When completed, this project will not only enhance the ability to prevent natural disasters but also facilitate transportation and agricultural production.

The projects: Bau market, district roads and rural roads have also been upgraded with a total cost of more than 2 billion VND. Many other important projects, including the office building of the Commune Police, a 2-storey building with 4 classrooms at the kindergarten are being implemented.

Thanh Hong’s economy has made remarkable progress in the past year. Agriculture continues to be the economic pillar with more than 445 hectares of fruit trees, cultivated according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. Key products such as lychee and grapefruit are not only consumed domestically but also exported to international markets, contributing to increasing farmers’ income.

In addition, the handicraft and service sectors also recorded significant growth, at 23.4% and 17.8% respectively. With an average income per capita of 72.36 million VND/year, Thanh Hong is becoming a bright spot in terms of the quality of life of people in Thanh Ha district.

Thanh Hong's success cannot be separated from the dynamic and dedicated leadership of the collective leadership and cadres of the commune. Mr. Le Quy Su, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said that in order to successfully carry out the tasks and make Thanh Hong a bright spot of the district in all aspects, the commune actively reformed administrative procedures. Commune leaders regularly listened to and resolved the difficulties of the people. Mobilized resources to improve infrastructure... All efforts are aimed at improving people's lives and promoting sustainable development.
