On July 6, a work accident that injured 9 people and required hospitalization occurred at a wooden furniture company in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Bac Tan Uyen District, Binh Duong Province.
According to initial information, at around 2 p.m. the same day, a group of company workers were working in the sawdust vacuuming area when a fire suddenly broke out. Seeing this, some workers used water hoses to put out the fire. However, while putting out the fire, the fire suddenly flared up, scattering sawdust everywhere. Workers working nearby were unable to react in time and were hit by the fire.
Many injured workers were transferred to a pickup truck and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The incident happened so quickly that 9 workers were injured (with burns), 4 of whom were seriously injured.
Immediately afterwards, the patients were taken straight to Binh Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment, and four seriously injured people were transferred to a higher-level hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Province Police said that this was a work accident. Meanwhile, a representative of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Duong Province said that they had sent officers to grasp the situation of the incident and report specifically.
The list of 9 injured workers includes: Le Van Phi, born in 2003, seriously injured and transferred to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; Tang So Pha, born in 1985, seriously injured and transferred to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; Danh Ngoc Quy, born in 1990, seriously injured and transferred to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City; Nguyen Van Ro, born in 1979, seriously injured and transferred to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
Tong Tu Hai, born in 1984, is being treated at Binh Duong Provincial Hospital; Phan Huy Duy, born in 1984, is being treated at Binh Duong Provincial Hospital; Phan Hoang Minh, born in 1998, is being treated at Binh Duong Provincial Hospital; Ngo Van Ai, born in 1991, is being treated at Binh Duong Provincial Hospital; Tran Pham Thi, born in 1998, is being treated at Binh Duong Provincial Hospital.
Currently, authorities are blocking off the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
