Billionaire's Ferrari F8 supercar in Saigon, the mirrors alone cost 200 million

According to Vietnamnet December 31, 2023 15:50

The Ferrari F8 Tributo upgraded with Novitec tuning package and rare exhaust system with a total value equal to a 2024 Honda CR-V.

As a supercar replacing the “national supercar” Ferrari 488 in Vietnam, the Ferrari F8 is less popular due to its high after-tax price of up to 23 billion VND for the hardtop version (Tributo) and 25 billion VND for the convertible version (Spider). To date, no less than 9 cars have been imported into the country through private and official importers.

This Ferrari F8 Tributo is one of them. The car is owned by a famous tycoon in Ho Chi Minh City. The car has a Rosso Corsa red exterior, typical of the Italian supercar brand, which is popular on many Ferraris in Vietnam. To highlight the exterior, the owner added a silver stripe running from the front to the rear of the car, inspired by the 488 Pista model.

To increase the car's aggressive and sporty look, the owner of the supercar did not hesitate to spend hundreds of millions of dong to upgrade the bodykit in the Novitec Rosso package, produced by the German tuning company Novitec. This is also the package that appeared on the F8 Spider of the Lam Dong tycoon.

Carbon details in this package include front bumper, side air vents, hood air vents, side splitters, side skirts, door handles, rear spoiler and diffuser.

Equally expensive are the carbon fiber side mirrors, part of the Novitec N-Largo package (wide body package) for the F8. These mirrors completely replace the original mirrors, but they are fixed and cannot be adjusted electrically as usual. In the European market, the converted price of the above mirrors is about 200 million VND.

The upgraded Akrapovic exhaust system, limited to 30 sets worldwide, marks the 30th anniversary of the exhaust company. The exhaust set on the Ferrari F8 Tributo in Vietnam has the serial number 24/30, and is worth nearly 24,000 USD (equivalent to about 583 million VND). This exhaust is 7.7 kg lighter than the original exhaust, while increasing 17.9 horsepower and 33.6 Nm.

The car still uses a set of 5-spoke diamond-cut rims, 20 inches in size on both wheels. The highlight inside is the yellow Brembo brake calipers. This rim option appears on most F8s in our country.

The F8 Tributo is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9L V8 engine, which is considered the most powerful mid-engined engine of the Italian Prancing Horse brand, producing a maximum capacity of 710 horsepower and a maximum torque of 770 Nm. Thanks to its weight of 1,330 kg, the car easily accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 340 km/h.

In addition to the Ferrari F8 Tributo in the article, there is also an F8 Spider owned by a tycoon in Lam Dong with a pair of mirrors worth over 200 million VND, similar to the Novitec × 1016 Industries package. Due to the tightening of vehicle inspection, fewer and fewer tycoons are tuning their cars, even supercars worth tens of billions of VND.
