The Pagani Imola Roadster supercar is tuned for performance and only 8 units are available worldwide. Compared to the Pagani Huayra of tycoon Minh Nhua, Pagani's new supercar not only has a convertible design but is also more powerful and has more technology.
Recently, the Italian supercar company has officially unveiled the convertible version of the Imola model called the Imola Roadster. According to Pagani, the Imola Roadster is inspired by the Huayra R race car, combined with the most advanced technology of the Huayra BC, creating a super speed product with a modern style.
Previously in 2019, Pagani first introduced the Imola at the Autodromo racetrack in Imola, Italy. This is considered one of the most impressive versions of the Huayra with a powerful aerodynamic body and increased power from 740 horsepower to 827 horsepower. This power is 97 horsepower greater than the only Huayra in Vietnam owned by tycoon Minh Nhua (Pham Tran Nhat Minh).
The Pagani Imola supercar at that time was an impressive design by the special department Grandi Complicazioni and produced in a limited quantity of only 5 cars worldwide.
In this Pagani Imola Roadster model, the uniqueness not only comes from the convertible design but also from the strengths from design to technology.
The aerodynamics and cooling of the Pagani Imola Roadster are optimised by completely new details: two large air intakes in the front bumper and twin air vents, one located in the wheel wells and the other on the side of the rear bumper. The air vents in the wheel wells help reduce pressure in the front bumper and stabilise the air flow to the rear of the car.
Large air intakes with extended tail fins help optimize air flow into the engine compartment while minimizing air turbulence in the rear compartment. The taillights also incorporate hot air vents from the engine. These improvements help create a downforce of up to 600 kg at 280 km/h.
The heart of the Pagani Imola Roadster is a 6.0L twin-turbo V12 engine, which is hand-assembled by AMG. The power of this part is increased from 827 horsepower on the coupe to a maximum of 850 horsepower and 1,100 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 7-speed Xtrac automatic manual transmission, rear-wheel drive. When accelerating, the car will be affected by acceleration up to 2G, and 2.2G when decelerating.
With the Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 chassis, combined with a CrMo alloy subframe, the car's weight is only 1,260 kg. The car is also equipped with a titanium ceramic exhaust system, APP brand wheels measuring 20 inches at the front axle and 21 inches at the rear axle with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R performance tires, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with 6 pistons at the front axle and 4 pistons at the rear axle. The maximum speed of the Imola Roadster is limited to 350 km/h.
Similar to the coupe, the Pagani Imola Roadster was also penned by Grandi Complicazioni, with a limited quantity of only 5 units worldwide. All the cars were sold out before being widely announced. However, the company did not announce the price of the car. Surely, the price of this convertible version will be much higher than the 5.4 million USD of the Pagani Imola.
In Vietnam, there is only one standard Pagani Huayra on the road, owned by Minh Nhua. This car was imported into the country in 2016, but it was not until 2018 that it was given a license plate with an estimated price of more than 80 billion VND. Known as the "god of wind", Minh Nhua's Pagani Huayra was born in 2013, with only 100 cars produced worldwide in 7 years (2012-2018).
