There are only two Grand Touring models in Vietnam, both painted in Ferrari's signature Rosso Corsa red.
The Ferrari Portofino was launched in 2017 to replace its predecessor, the California, named after a village near Genoa, Italy. In 2021, a new version called the Portofino M (Modficata) had many changes in transmission and performance. The car only lasted 6 years before being replaced by the Roma Spider. In Vietnam, there are only two Portofino M in Hanoi, both with the traditional Rosso Corsa red paint.
Portofino M has a similar design to California in the grille, but is more muscular. Two air intakes in the front bumper are for cooling the brakes, the hood has two vents for hot air from the engine. The LED headlights are elongated, next to them are two small air vents to cool the engine.
Length, width, height are 4,586 x 1,938 x 1,318 mm respectively, wheelbase 2,670 mm. The design has the features of the Grand Touring line, the cuts on the body are sporty and elegant combined with aerodynamic capabilities, with a drag coefficient of 0.312 Cd. The chassis is made of 12 different aluminum alloys, increasing stiffness by 35% compared to the California. The weight is cut to the maximum, reaching 1,664 kg.
The hardtop can be opened and closed with two buttons, taking just 14 seconds at speeds below 50 km/h. When the top is open, the trunk will contain the hardtop and reduce the trunk space.
The original rims were replaced by the previous owner with PUR multi-spoke rims worth 12,000 USD. There are only two sets of these rims in Vietnam. The front rim size is 21 inches and the rear is 22 inches. Specialized tires are Continental Contact 6.
According to the distributor, the entire set of wheels and tires is about 370 million VND. High-performance carbon ceramic brakes. The car uses a customized suspension system and electric power steering, making the system more responsive when the car is in sport mode.
The rear of the car carries Ferrari's DNA with round LED taillights and integrated turn signals. The rear bumper is painted black, with integrated air vents and a symmetrical dual exhaust cluster. The car is also upgraded with a Novitec exhaust with a more powerful sound.
The interior was developed after receiving many customer opinions, creating a comfortable sitting feeling. The buttons and knobs are convenient for the driver. The main materials are Alcantara, leather and carbon. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and carbon bottom, integrated with a rev indicator on the top of the steering wheel, Start/Stop buttons, gearshift paddles, Wet, Comfort, Sport, Race and ESC Off driving modes. The air conditioning system has also been improved by engineers to be 25% faster and 50% quieter than the California.
The instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is divided into two parts, with the middle being a mechanical clock displaying the rpm and an LCD screen displaying the driving mode. On both sides are electronic screens displaying entertainment information and vehicle status. The car was previously located in Ho Chi Minh City. After several owners, the car was bought and sold by an owner in Hanoi, with the current odometer reading only 8,148 km.
10.2-inch entertainment touchscreen with integrated Apple CarPlay, below are audio and dual-zone climate control buttons. The car uses a JBL sound system.
The control cluster between the two seats has 3 buttons including reverse, automatic or manual gear shifting and Launch Control, below are the buttons to open and close the roof and windows. The design is recessed below to increase storage space and reduce vehicle weight.
The rear seats have 5cm more legroom, but the area is quite small, suitable for children or storing things.
The Portofino M uses a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 F154 BE engine, producing 612 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.45 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. Power is transmitted through an 8-speed dual-clutch Magna gearbox. The car competes with the Aston Martin DB11 and Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder.
When launched in the US, the car was priced from 215,000 USD. In Vietnam, both cars are being offered for sale at a showroom in Hanoi, of which one is re-imported and priced at more than 10 billion VND.
