Will build 2 bridges to Ngoc Island in Hai Duong City

At the regular October meeting (6th time) on the morning of October 20, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province basically agreed with the plan to build 2 bridges to the Ngoc Island area under the Project of New Commercial, Service, Cultural and Urban Area in the West of Hai Duong City.

Comrade Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban chaired the regular October meeting (6th time) of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Luu Van Ban, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Transport to study and evaluate the appropriate construction scale based on the calculation of actual conditions, meeting the needs of use and ensuring the urban landscape. Based on the construction scale, the Department of Construction will advise on the architectural competition plan. The investor is responsible for carrying out investment preparation steps and arranging capital sources to implement construction according to regulations.

Director of the Department of Transport Vu Van Tung reported on the plan to build 2 bridges to Ngoc Island (Hai Duong City).

According to the report of the Department of Transport, Bridge No. 1 in the east of Ngoc Island mainly serves Ngoc Island area, crossing Sat River connecting Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue. The bridge is 174.7 m long, 16.5 m wide with a wave-shaped span, the main span is frame-shaped with a total estimated investment of more than 225 billion VND. Bridge No. 2 in the north of Ngoc Island serves cars, electric cars, and pedestrians crossing Sat River into the area. The design solution is a reinforced concrete arch bridge 196.2 m long, 14.5 m wide, with a total estimated investment of more than 198 billion VND.
