On the afternoon of February 22, Hanoi City Police issued a warning, but many victims were still trapped. Recently, another victim was robbed of more than 3 billion VND when he became a collaborator for a fake website impersonating the Amazon e-commerce site.

Accordingly, through the social network Telegram, Mr. K. was invited to become a sales collaborator to receive commission on the website amajwzon456.top. The website has an interface similar to the Amazon e-commerce site with stalls selling all kinds of products.

In the group, there are many "brokers" who confirm that they have made a profit from the sale and paid the required taxes and fees to withdraw the money to make the victims trust them.

Mr. K. was instructed to open a booth, post products provided by the subjects, when a customer places an order, he must pay the warehouse that supplies the goods and transports them to the customer, and when the order is completed, he will receive a commission. At the beginning of participating, the orders were small and there was a commission to be paid back, the victim could still withdraw the money.

However, as the order value increased, the number of orders also increased, forcing Mr. K. to continue to deposit more money to pay for new orders to the supplier.

When the amount reached billions of dong, the victim could not withdraw the money because he needed to upgrade his membership to become an agent, so he needed to deposit another 1.5 billion dong before he could withdraw it.

To prevent fraud, protect network security and prevent high-tech crimes, Hanoi City Police recommend that people be vigilant with calls and invitations to become collaborators of domestic and foreign e-commerce sites, and pay attention to fake links (compare with official e-commerce websites or websites registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade).

Online fraud is becoming more and more sophisticated and cunning with many tricks such as delayed orders due to shipping, having to pay customs taxes, etc. The subjects constantly pressure the victims to deposit more money so that the victims do not have time to think.

When this website was closed, they continued to create similar fake websites to scam people. People are warned to always be alert before investing money. When encountering cases with signs of fraud, people need to contact the police to promptly resolve the case according to regulations.
