On May 8, Hoan Kiem District Police (Hanoi) issued a notice searching for the whereabouts of a man who was found dead.
After receiving the report, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoan Kiem District Police coordinated with the professional departments of Hanoi Police to organize an investigation of the scene and brought the victim's body to the middle of the Red River for an autopsy.
Initial results determined that the victim was a male, who had been dead for more than a month. At the time of discovery, the body was no longer intact and had dried up. The identity is currently unknown.
