Vietnam strives to have at least 10 USD billionaires by 2030

The above content is set forth in Resolution No. 66 promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 41 of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period.

Notably, in the resolution, the Government set a goal that by 2030, at least 10 Vietnamese businessmen will be on the list of world dollar billionaires and 5 most powerful businessmen in Asia as voted by prestigious international organizations.

In addition, from now until 2030, there will be at least 2 million enterprises, of which many entrepreneurs will be formed and developed to lead strong economic groups with potential and competitiveness in the domestic and international markets, promoting the role of leading the way in important sectors and fields of the economy.

According to the Government's request, by 2030, the business sector will contribute about 65 - 70% of the country's GDP, about 32 - 38% of total employment in the economy, 98 - 99% of total import-export turnover; about 20 - 25% of enterprises are owned by women, 30 - 35% of enterprises have female directors or business heads.

The number of businesses ranked in the list of businesses with the highest brand value by prestigious rating organizations in the world increases by 10% each year.

Regarding the goal by 2045, according to the Government, we strive for a number of entrepreneurs to own corporations capable of leading industrial and agricultural value chains, moving towards forming a number of Vietnamese value chains in priority industries with the country's strengths.

The Government also requires that by 2045, a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs be formed and developed with the scale, capacity and qualifications to meet the national development goals, high income, position and prestige in the region and internationally.

To achieve the above specific targets, the Government requires that in the coming time, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and business associations need to raise awareness of the position and role of entrepreneurs in implementing the country's development goals.

Agencies need to improve policies and laws, create a favorable and equal investment and business environment for entrepreneurs and enterprises to develop and contribute; develop a strong team of entrepreneurs that is equal to the goals and tasks of national development in the new period.

The Government also requires agencies to build business ethics and culture, promote national spirit, arouse the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; strengthen solidarity, cooperation and connection between businessmen and workers, farmers, intellectuals...
