The Government continues to accompany the team of entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs.

Also attending were: Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung; Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh; leaders of central and local ministries, departments, branches, and organizations; representatives of international organizations and generations of young entrepreneurs nationwide.

Young businesses and entrepreneurs grow and make positive contributions

After 30 years of formation and development, from a Young Entrepreneurs Club with 15 initial members, the Association's organizational network has now been established in 63/63 provinces and cities; 2 Young Entrepreneurs Associations of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Rubber Industry Group; 14 affiliated clubs by profession and interest, with a total of nearly 19,000 members participating in activities.

The Association's member enterprises are generating annual revenue of more than 40 billion USD, contributing more than 10% of the country's GDP and creating jobs for more than 5 million workers. Many meaningful programs have been organized in recent times associated with the brand of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association such as: Vietnam Golden Star Award honoring typical Vietnamese brands, Red Star Award honoring typical young Vietnamese entrepreneurs,...

In particular, joining the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneurs Association is an important step in affirming the position and image of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the business community and enterprises in the region and the world.

Opening his speech at the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the warm regards and best wishes of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to young entrepreneurs and the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs movement.

The Prime Minister said that after more than 36 years of renovation, by 2022, Vietnam's GDP will reach about 409 billion USD, an increase of about 51 times. Notably, in the period 1986 - 2022, Vietnam is among the top 5 countries with the largest economic growth in the world. Vietnam has become the fourth largest economy in ASEAN and the 40th largest in the world, with international trade in the top 20 in the world, and is one of the economies considered to be the most dynamic and open in the world.

The Prime Minister stated that today, Vietnam has affirmed itself, overcome all difficulties, and reached out to the world, as the General Secretary affirmed: "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today". The Prime Minister affirmed that the country's overall achievements are thanks to the leadership of the Party, the participation of the entire political system, the support of the people, the business community, and international friends, including the positive contributions of the business community in general and young Vietnamese businessmen in particular.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs are the main material production force of the Vietnamese economy, one of the factors to successfully achieve the goal of industrialization and modernization, creating a breakthrough in the country's socio-economic development.

From the success in building and developing the country, the Prime Minister said that there are 5 basic lessons: Maintaining national independence associated with socialism; people making history; combining national strength with the strength of the times; great national unity; under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party.

According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam is determined to build the country based on three main pillars: building socialist democracy, a socialist rule-of-law state, and a socialist-oriented market economy.

Along with that, implementing an independent, self-reliant, diversified, multilateral foreign policy, being a good friend, a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community; building an independent, self-reliant economy, proactively and actively integrating deeply and effectively into the international community; and the "4 no's" defense policy.

Along with the country's socio-economic development, Vietnamese enterprises have continuously developed in both quantity and quality, making great and important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense in many aspects. The Vietnamese business community always demonstrates social responsibility, actively participates in hunger eradication, poverty reduction, gratitude programs, community programs, supports people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, prevent and fight epidemics, especially the COVID-19 epidemic. The efforts, maturity and growth of the young Vietnamese business community have created resonance, spreading positive energy to the Vietnamese business community in general.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of the Vietnamese young entrepreneurs and businesses in the cause of national construction and development; commended and acknowledged the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association for uniting, leading and guiding the Young Entrepreneurs movement over the past 30 years.

Pioneering innovation - Creating value

Analyzing the world situation in the coming time; assuming that opportunities, advantages, difficulties, and challenges are intertwined; the business community in general and young businesses in particular are currently facing many challenges, but believing that the business community and young businesses will overcome them.

“History has molded and given us the mission to do, to do better, to try harder, to be determined, to be more determined, to make an effort, to make more effort, to succeed, to be more successful,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Government will continue to well implement the Party and State's guidelines, policies and strategies; utilize all resources belonging to the people; and perform its functions, tasks and powers to create favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop production and business.

The Government joins hands to develop strong Vietnamese enterprises with high competitiveness, deep participation in the global value chain and resilience to external shocks; focusing on three strategic breakthroughs in institutions, infrastructure, and human resources, with "open policies, smooth infrastructure, and smart management".

The Prime Minister said that the Government will continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 41 of the Politburo on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era; continue to accompany entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs; continue to perfect institutions, ensure a stable, synchronous, unified, transparent, and equal legal framework, and create the best conditions for business development.

The Government also promotes administrative reform, improves the investment and business environment to be fair, open and transparent; abolishes and does not issue new barriers and regulations on unnecessary and unreasonable business conditions; promotes the construction and development of the socio-economic infrastructure system; promotes digital transformation, builds a digital economy, digital society, and a modern digital government that is friendly to people and businesses.

The Prime Minister requested the business community and young entrepreneurs to continue to make the most of their "youth" advantage, take the lead in changing the growth model, innovation, application of science and technology, digital transformation, green transformation; hope that young businesses improve their capacity, qualities, quality of human resources, leadership, management, and corporate governance, as well as develop corporate culture and entrepreneurial culture; constantly learn, proactively equip themselves with knowledge, conditions, and courage to improve their competitiveness, reach regional and international levels; strengthen cooperation with each other, creating a combined strength to raise the position of Vietnamese enterprises.

The Head of Government requested the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association to effectively promote its role in supporting young businesses to strengthen connections, strongly apply technology, pioneer in innovation and creativity, and do a good job of consulting and reviewing to perfect the system of legal documents related to business activities.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Party and State always protect legitimate and legal rights and interests; always create conditions for young entrepreneurs to contribute more and more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; and believe that the Vietnamese business community will continue to accompany, share difficulties and support the Party, State and Government in their directives and management to overcome difficulties and challenges, seize new opportunities and new fortunes, improve endogenous capacity, and contribute to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam, with increasingly happy and prosperous people.

* Previously, on this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association organized the "Change and Constancy" Seminar with 2 discussion sessions on the topics "30 years - Looking back proudly", "Young Entrepreneurs - Moving forward". At the Seminar, entrepreneurs shared memorable stories and impressions; the values ​​that the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs movement brings and their changes when participating in the "common house" of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs.

The seminar also discussed and proposed directions, activities and solutions to promote the value chain in the ecosystem of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period; enhance the role of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association in the regional community, especially the ASEAN region.
