The Pontiac Firebird muscle car has just reappeared on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City with the familiar "UN" letter from Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu's million-dollar collection.
Recently, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu continues to hunt for unique cars with a number that can be counted on the fingers in Vietnam. Recently, he was caught using an extremely rare 2nd generation Pontiac Firebird in Vietnam. This is a famous American muscle car model produced from 1967-2002 to compete with the Ford Mustang.Specifically, this Pontiac Firebird was once owned by a car enthusiast in Ho Chi Minh City. The second generation of this muscle car was produced from 1970 to 1981, sharing many details and technical configurations with the second generation Chevrolet Camaro.Mr. Vu still keeps the original metallic blue paint color of the car. Many exterior details of the car are restored to their original state with an impressive shiny chrome surface as if it had just left the factory. With the second generation, this American muscle car still owns the brand's signature split grille. The dual headlights are refined into round headlights, accompanied by fog lights with protective bars. The car also adds 2 large air intakes exclusively for the Formula version. With the second generation, the Pontiac Firebird had a coupe design with the roof sloping down to the rear of the car. The first versions had a B-pillar connected to the C-pillar, which would later be replaced by a larger rear windshield. The car is equipped with 15-inch 5-spoke chrome-plated Magnum wheels with blue painted details similar to the exterior. Comes with BFGoodrich tires with prominent white logos - a feature of cars from America during this period. The rear of the car is designed neatly but aggressively with chrome trim extending along the width of the body. Comes with a dual exhaust system and shock absorbers typical of car models according to safety standards in the US.The large taillights were designed to be the inspiration for the second generation Chevrolet Camaro to be refined in later upgrades. The interior of the car has been renewed with brown leather seats. The dashboard is covered with wood, giving it a classic look. Mr. Vu has also upgraded the coffee cup holder and the familiar cigar ashtray every time he uses it.The rear seats are quite small, only suitable for children or adults on short trips. The second generation Pontiac Firebird was equipped with a variety of different engines, including V6, I6, V8 5.0L to 7.5L engines. Comes with 2/3-speed automatic transmission, or 3/4-speed manual transmission. It is very likely that Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu's Pontiac Firebird Formula version has a 6.6L V8 engine, 330 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque. Compared to the Ford Mustang, the number of old Pontiac Firebirds in Vietnam is very small, so this is a car worthy of being in Mr. Vu's multi-million dollar collection.TH (synthesis)
