Prime Minister Paetongtarn declared assets worth 13.8 billion baht ($400 million), including 217 designer handbags; 75 luxury watches; and real estate in the UK and Japan.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has publicly disclosed his personal assets worth more than $400 million, including hundreds of watches and dozens of luxury handbags.

Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is required to declare all assets and liabilities when he assumes office in September 2024, according to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).

Prime Minister Paetongtarn declared assets worth 13.8 billion baht (US$400 million). Of this, her investments were worth 11 billion baht and she had an additional 1 billion baht in deposits and cash.

In addition, the female Prime Minister also owns 217 designer handbags worth 76 million baht and 75 luxury watches worth 162 million baht.

Her assets also include real estate in London (UK) and Japan and many other holdings. In addition, the Thai Prime Minister also declared debts of nearly 5 billion baht.

Ms. Paetongtarn is Thailand's youngest female Prime Minister and the second female Prime Minister in the history of the Land of Golden Pagodas, and is the fourth member of her billionaire family to hold this position in the past two decades.

Ms. Paetongtarn is the daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who has great influence in Thai politics and is still considered a key factor supporting the Pheu Thai (For Thai) party.
