The 30% discount is also applied to passengers who purchase tickets from January 17, 2023 to January 24, 2023 for odd-numbered trains departing from Hanoi station and arriving from Phu Ly station to Dong Hoi station and from January 25, 2023 to January 31, 2023 for even-numbered trains departing from Dong Hoi station to Phu Ly station and arriving from Hanoi station.

Regarding ticket exchange and return time, passengers with individual tickets must exchange or return tickets 24 hours or more before the train departure time stated on the ticket; For group tickets, exchange or return tickets 48 hours or more before the train departure time stated on the ticket.

Outside of the above time, the railway applies the following deduction for ticket exchange and refund: When exchanging tickets, passengers with individual tickets must exchange them 24 hours or more before the train departs, the fee is 20,000 VND/ticket; ticket exchange is not applicable for group tickets.

When returning tickets, passengers with individual tickets must return their tickets 24 hours or more before the train departs with a fee of 10% of the ticket price, from 4 hours to less than 24 hours the fee is 20% of the ticket price, and under 4 hours the ticket refund is not applicable. Passengers with group tickets must return their tickets 72 hours or more before the train departs with a fee of 10% of the ticket price, from 24 hours to less than 72 hours the fee is 20% of the ticket price, and under 24 hours the ticket refund is not applicable.

Previously, railway transport companies announced that there were still about 40,000 train tickets for the Lunar New Year. Before Tet, there were about 8,000 seats left from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. Of which, tickets to Phan Thiet and Nha Trang were available for all days. Tickets to other stations from Tuy Hoa to Hanoi were still available on days from January 12 and before and January 20 and 21, 2023 (ie the 21 and before and December 29 and 30); peak days from January 13 to January 19, 2023 (from December 22 to 28) were mainly extra seats.
