Bonus 2 months salary, also give mattress as Tet gift

Recently, social networks shared an image of a company giving Tet gifts to its staff in the form of cushions. Immediately after the image was shared, many people expressed their interest and support.

A representative of Song Hong Nam Dinh Garment Company said that this is not the first time the company has given mattresses as Tet gifts to its staff and workers. This year, in addition to the 13th and 14th month salaries, the company also gave workers 7cm thick Song Hong cotton mattresses, worth more than 4 million VND each.

According to this representative, each person will have different mattress needs, so employees should choose the size that suits their family.

To ensure safety during the delivery of gifts, the company will notify employees in advance of the time of receiving the gifts. Women with poor driving skills or those who live far away can call relatives to pick them up or rent a car. The remaining employees will be supported by the company's youth union to tie them carefully, making it easier to move.

Song Hong Nam Dinh Garment currently has about 13,000 employees. In addition to mattresses and bonuses, employees at this company also receive other gifts, worth about 400,000 VND.

Giving chicken for Tet

Some companies also give very practical gifts for Tet such as rice, chicken, noodles, pork...

Minh Khoa Electromechanical Company Limited (in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City) attracted attention when it bought chicken and rice to reward workers for Tet.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (34 years old, from Vinh Phuc, worker) told Thanh Nien Newspaper that he received 12 gifts equivalent to 12 months of the year including: 10kg of rice, 5kg of sticky rice, 1 chicken, 1 box of noodles, 1kg of pork, seasoning powder, sugar, fish sauce, cellophane noodles, rice paper, cooking oil, and eggs.

Notably, all of those gifts were purchased and distributed by the company’s head himself. The company representative said that they would not buy beer but instead would give away chickens so that everyone could gather with their families.

In addition, workers at this company also receive a 13th month bonus depending on each person's basic salary.

"I am very happy that in the midst of economic difficulties, the company still cares for the lives of its employees. These are very practical gifts, close to every family's meal," Mr. Hung shared.

Spend billions to buy fish as gifts

Cua Ong Coal Selection Company under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group caused a stir in the online community when it spent more than 4.8 billion VND to buy fresh grouper as Tet gifts for its staff.

The company currently has about 3,700 staff and workers. Each person will receive about 5kg of grouper for Tet. The money to buy grouper is taken from the company's welfare fund.

Notably, this is not the first time the company has bought grouper as gifts for its employees.

Previously, in 2022 and 2023, Cua Ong Coal Selection also spent 4.5-5 billion VND to buy fresh grouper for officers, employees and workers on the occasion of the 15th day of the first lunar month.

A representative of the company’s union told the press that before buying grouper as a gift, the company’s union had consulted with employees and received support. Grouper is a famous specialty of Quang Ninh. Buying this type of fish in large quantities also helps stimulate consumption for farmers in the province.

In addition, this year's Tet, each employee of the company will receive a bonus of 8 million VND/person, and the company will also support each person with a 13th month salary (about 13 million VND).

Tet bonus in gold

In addition to cash bonuses and gifts, many companies also give gold to long-time employees. A union official at Freetrend Company (Linh Trung 1 Export Processing Zone, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that in addition to Tet bonuses, the company has a tradition of giving gold to long-time employees. For example, 10 years of seniority will be rewarded with 1 tael, 20 years will be rewarded with 1.5 taels.

The Board of Directors of Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Binh Duong) shared that the company gives Tet bonuses to all employees, including a 13th month salary bonus equivalent to 1 month of basic salary actually received by the employee.

The Board of Directors of Apparel Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. has decided to give gifts of gratitude to 24 employees with 15 years of experience working with the company. Each gift includes 1 tael of gold, a thank you letter and flowers.

In the context of many businesses having to close down or cut staff, cut year-end bonuses, and owe employees salaries, it is a good thing that employees receive salaries, bonuses, and gifts.
