Look in one direction, avoid speaking nonsense

In today's society, there are people who say negative things every time they open their mouths, both in real life and more dangerously, spreading those negative things on social networks.

Before speaking, each of us needs to calmly research carefully and verify the information.

Through their lens, society is all black. What is more dangerous is that most of these statements provide inaccurate, unverified or speculative information. Such behavior first of all harms the speaker himself, and at the same time negatively affects those around him and society.

Over the past few days, storm No. 3 and floods have caused severe damage to the northern provinces and cities. While the leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, local authorities, the Army, the police, functional forces and the people are all working hard to fight the floods, on social networks, many people have demonstrated their “capacity” and “responsibility” as “keyboard heroes”, criticizing, mocking, posting false information and negative comments.

According to the judgment of these “keyboard heroes”, it seems that all levels of government and functional forces are irresponsible and passive in the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 3 and floods. According to them, when floods occurred heavily in some northern provinces and cities, people were almost abandoned, had to go online to call for help and could only rely on the help of netizens. Therefore, on social networks in the past few days, many “cries for help” appeared such as: “SOS! Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai urgently need a large number of life jackets!” or “Quang Ninh urgently needs instant noodles to save people from hunger!”, “3 children are being threatened by floods”...

However, most of those calls for help are false or exaggerated information. When a benefactor responds to a call for help online and contacts the local authorities, they find out that the local authorities do not have a need and have prepared enough of the items that the benefactor wants to provide, and the local authorities do not understand why there is such false information online.

Disaster prevention and control work in Vietnam has always promoted the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command; on-site forces; on-site means and materials; on-site logistics). People's rescue in natural disasters is always included in the plans and scenarios of localities, organized forces, and regularly rehearsed. Of course, when natural disasters and floods occur, the whole country needs to join hands to help people in flood-hit areas, demonstrating the precious spirit of solidarity of our nation.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has issued an appeal to mobilize the whole country to support people in overcoming the damage caused by storm No. 3. However, no social force anywhere or individual can have a higher responsibility, be more timely and effective than the local government, organizations and forces in rescuing the people. And all relief work should be informed and coordinated with the local government and organizations to ensure effectiveness, meeting the needs and reaching the right people.

These days, the authorities at all levels, the Army and other forces are actively carrying out rescue, relief and relief work for people in flood-hit areas, doing everything to ensure people's safety. Images on social networks are used hastily or deliberately with bad intentions, causing many people to mistakenly believe that the authorities are powerless, irresponsible and unable to care for the people.

The reality is that government officials and functional forces are busy day and night with rescue, relief, and relief work, so they cannot care about what social networks are saying. As for the “keyboard warriors”, they may not do anything but open their mouths to criticize and see society in a gloomy, negative light.

In recent days, there have been many touching images of the Party and State leaders' concern for the people affected by storm No. 3 and floods. General Secretary and President To Lam sent a letter to the people and soldiers affected by storm No. 3, requesting that Party committees and authorities at all levels focus on implementing plans and solutions to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, prioritizing rescue work, ensuring that no one goes hungry, lacks clothes, or has no place to live; accessing isolated areas; evacuating people from dangerous areas; ensuring that sick people have medicine and treatment, and children can go to school soon...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh personally visited localities and flooded areas to visit people, inspect and direct the work to overcome the consequences of the storm. The Prime Minister requested the deployment of forces and means (including helicopters) to reach the affected areas to support the transportation of food and provisions to the people...

In recent days, there have been many touching images of military officers and soldiers, militiamen, etc. braving the rain and floodwaters, regardless of danger to rescue people. Among them, there were military officers who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties of preventing and fighting storms and floods. Other forces such as police, youth volunteers, medical staff, green company workers, transportation staff, etc. have also made efforts to quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and assist people.

With a country that is increasingly developing, with a population of over 100 million people, many problems always arise in society. That requires the management capacity and responsibility of the public authority system to be increasingly improved. Because anything related to the people that needs to be implemented cannot be done without the role of the government at all levels and the entire political system. No non-governmental organization, group, or individual can replace the government and political organizations in taking care of the people!

Natural disasters are challenging situations, especially in the context of climate change, where the developments of storms and floods are unpredictable, even beyond initial imagination. Information and constructive comments are necessary so that those responsible can better manage their work and perform their roles better. However, no one can give themselves the right to completely deny the efforts, results, and efforts of the political system in promoting social development, caring for, and assisting the people.

Each of us, especially cadres and party members, before speaking, commenting, evaluating anything, before spreading any information, needs to be calm, research carefully, verify information and make constructive statements. Especially in the current situation of severe natural disasters, we need to have responsible actions and statements, and need to promote the spirit of support, assistance and encouragement for the government, organizations, the Army and functional forces on the front line. Only by promoting the spirit of solidarity, all looking in the same direction, can our country overcome challenging and difficult times.

As for those who deliberately distort the truth, spread false information, sow confusion, and deny the role and efforts of the government system, armed forces, and organizations, not only will they not achieve their personal goals, but they will also easily violate the provisions of the law.
