Volunteer activities have helped many adults grow up, including those who have become young leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and outstanding union officials.

The volunteer movement has become an indispensable part of the lives of Vietnamese youth, contributing significantly to the development of society, providing an environment for the young generation to train themselves, foster a sense of responsibility and grow through each experience. From small activities to nationwide campaigns, the youth volunteer movement has created generations of young people who are courageous, persistent and ready to contribute to the community.

Many young people have made significant progress from the volunteer movement, including those who have become young leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and excellent union officials.

A brother I know was an active student in many volunteer campaigns at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He started out as a shy student, but after many years of participating in volunteer activities, he has honed his leadership skills, organizational abilities and become one of the outstanding Youth Union cadres.

Or like another sister I talked to, a former student of the National Economics University, who participated in the "Supporting the Exam Season" campaign for many years. After that, she became the director of an exam preparation center with the desire to continue helping the next generation. Her center has sponsored scholarships for poor students many times.

Such stories are not rare in the youth volunteer community, as volunteer activities have created brave people, ready to face challenges and constantly contribute.

Growing up through volunteering is not just about physical training or gaining experience in teamwork. It is also a process in which young people change their perceptions, develop skills, form proactive thinking and better understand their responsibilities to society.

When participating in volunteer activities, young people not only contribute their efforts but also gain practical experience, facing difficulties and challenges that are difficult to encounter in a normal study or work environment.

Trips to remote areas and long days of volunteering in deprived conditions have helped young people better understand the value of labor, sharing and solidarity. From these experiences, many people have changed their perspective on life, becoming stronger, appreciating what they have and willing to contribute more to the community.

In Hai Duong, the youth volunteer movement has continuously grown and developed with many practical activities. Youth Month 2025 was implemented with a series of programs to create conditions for young people to practice and develop. These include activities to participate in building new rural areas, supporting career counseling, implementing social security programs...

These activities not only demonstrate the enthusiasm of the movement but also demonstrate the spirit of volunteerism and dedication of Hai Duong youth in joining hands to build their homeland. Activities such as blood donation, tree planting, digital transformation or supporting the elimination of dilapidated houses have also attracted a large number of union members to participate, contributing to enhancing the social responsibility of young people.

Volunteering also plays an important role in promoting solidarity, connecting the community and promoting social responsibility. When participating in volunteering, young people not only work with like-minded people but also interact with many people in society, from poor children, lonely elderly people to people with disabilities. These experiences help young people develop empathy, compassion and know how to adapt to different working environments.

In the context of strong digital transformation, volunteer activities are also gradually adapting to new trends, helping young people practice more technological skills and be creative in implementing community projects.

However, for the volunteer movement to truly become an effective training environment for the majority, there needs to be innovation in the way it is organized and oriented. Currently, some programs are still formal and have not really created a sustainable impact.

Youth Union organizations need to have specific plans to improve the quality of the movement, creating conditions for young people to participate in long-term projects that have a legacy and profound impact on the community. Strengthen training and skills development for young people before they participate in volunteering, helping them to be better prepared to face real challenges.

By wearing the green volunteer shirt, today's young people are not only contributing to building a better society but also building themselves into responsible citizens, knowing how to contribute and ready to face challenges.
