The Dutch government is ready to release an additional 10 million euros ($10.5 million) in aid to Gaza in response to a United Nations appeal. The aid will be spent on basic necessities such as water and medical care.

The Netherlands has reiterated its stance that Israel has the right to self-defense following attacks by the Islamist Hamas movement, which controls the Palestinian Gaza Strip. However, the Netherlands stressed that Israel's response must comply with international principles of war, which say that civilians and humanitarian workers should not be considered targets of violence.

Meanwhile, Spain's acting Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares announced that the country will increase humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip with an aid package worth 1.06 million USD and is preparing to send more aid to the area.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim strongly supports an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the establishment of a humanitarian corridor in Rafah.

In a post on his personal Facebook page, Prime Minister Anwar said Israel should immediately cease fire with Hamas and pursue a peaceful solution to end the ongoing conflict. He stressed that the health and safety of all individuals affected by the crisis must be given priority.

Prime Minister Anwar also said Malaysia is committed to providing humanitarian aid including food and medicine to people in need.

Last week, Mr Anwar announced that the Malaysian government had provided RM10 million ($2.1 million) in aid to the Palestinians and expressed hope that government-linked investment companies and the private sector would contribute to raising the aid amount to RM100 million.
