The first person to win the Jackpot 1 prize worth more than 48.5 billion VND of Vietlott in 2025 received nearly 44 billion VND after tax deduction.
On January 21, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) awarded Jackpot 1 prize in the Power 6/55 lottery of the 1139th drawing to Mr. TC, a Vinaphone subscriber, with a prize value of VND 48,562,514,850 (over VND 48.5 billion).
Notably, Mr. TC is the first person to win Vietlott's Jackpot 1 prize in 2025.
Mr. TC currently lives and works freelance in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. TC shared that sometimes he buys Vietlott lottery tickets from the point of sale, sometimes he buys them via phone. Each time, he only plays a few tickets and usually buys Mega 6/45, Power 6/55 or Bingo18 lottery products.
When he heard the news of winning the prize, he did not share it with his family and relatives. Mr. TC plans to inform his family after receiving the prize and planning how to use the prize money.
According to regulations, Mr. TC is obliged to pay personal income tax at the place of registration to participate in the prize, which is Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of more than 4.8 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND) and is deducted immediately upon receiving the prize.
Thus, the bonus that Mr. TC received was more than 43.7 billion VND.
At the award ceremony, Mr. TC donated 550 million VND to Tam Tai Viet Fund to implement social security programs.
