Threatened by a group of people in front of a karaoke bar, a man drove away but unfortunately hit his ex-girlfriend, causing the victim to break her bones.
On December 15, Chau Duc District Police (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) summoned the driver and related people to clarify the cause and violation.
According to initial investigation, late on December 14, in front of a karaoke bar in Binh Trung commune, Chau Duc district, a man sitting in the driver's seat of a 4-seater car was loudly yelled at and attacked by 3 young men standing outside. At this time, a girl rushed in to stop him, but was stopped by others and pulled out.
The driver immediately reversed the car and drove away, but crashed into three people standing in front. Only two people avoided it, while the girl was hit and fell onto the road, dragged under the car.
People present panicked, broke the glass, asked the driver to reverse the car so the victim could escape and be taken to the emergency room.
Sources at the investigation agency said that the girl had a broken femur and was being treated at Ba Ria Hospital. The driver was the victim’s ex-boyfriend.
"The two sides were jealous, the new one and the old one, leading to conflict. When threatened by a group of young men, he drove away from the scene but accidentally caused the incident," the source said.
