Payment and gold receipt time at Vietcombank's SJC gold bar sales point is from 1:30pm to 4pm. After registering to buy gold bars online, people need to go to the transaction location according to the address and time frame in the appointment confirmation.

People should note that they need to prepare valid identification documents (citizen identification card, passport) and a photo or screen print of the successful online gold purchase registration to be able to buy gold at the announced gold selling point.

In case people arrive 30 minutes later than the scheduled time, banks will cancel the registration information to serve the next customer.

Buying gold online is harder than "going to heaven"

Since June 17, two banks, Agribank and BIDV, have stopped issuing queue numbers for people to buy gold directly at points of sale, only serving customers with registration numbers. That is, these banks only sell gold through online channels. Previously, Vietcombank was the first bank to announce online gold bar sales.

As of 6 p.m. on June 18, VietinBank was the only bank in the Big 4 group that did not sell gold bars online. The bank’s website announced that “VietinBank does not sell gold online.”

According to people's feedback, registering to buy gold bars online from these banks is very difficult. Ms. Pham Anh Nguyet in Hai Duong City said: "I and some friends have already filled in the information to register to buy gold online, just waiting for the clock to jump to 9 o'clock to press send. But the screen keeps showing errors, unable to register."

Not being able to register to buy gold online is a common situation for many people. Explaining this, bank representatives said that the number of customers registering to buy gold bars online can be dozens of times higher than the number of customers lining up to buy directly a few days ago. Therefore, not everyone can be scheduled successfully. In addition, the registration system must calculate the service capacity of the point of sale compared to the number of customers placing orders.

This reality has caused the situation of "providing gold purchase registration services" to appear on social networks in the past few days, or some people, after successfully purchasing, openly advertise for sale online.

Some Hai Duong residents believe that even if they successfully register to buy online, they still have to go to the bank to receive the gold. Thus, buying gold online is just as difficult as going to the bank to buy directly because the Big 4 group has not opened a gold bar sales point in Hai Duong. Not only do they have to wait for a successful registration through the online channel, but they also have to go to the sales point to transact and receive the gold, so not many people are interested.
