Male student poisoned with cyanide in Dong Nai eligible for special graduation consideration

An 18-year-old male student in Dong Nai who was poisoned with cyanide before the 2024 high school graduation exam has been proposed by the school to be considered for special consideration for high school graduation in 2024.

On July 10, Ms. Truong Thi Kim Hue, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province, said that regarding the case of an 18-year-old male student in Nhon Trach district being poisoned with cyanide, the school has completed procedures to request special graduation consideration.

"After reviewing the application for special consideration, NHBT meets the requirements for special graduation consideration," Ms. Hue informed.

At the end of June, T. was suddenly poisoned by cyanide and was hospitalized in critical condition. Due to the impact of the incident, T. missed the 2024 high school graduation exam.

After T.'s health stabilized, the school contacted the family to complete the procedures to request special graduation consideration according to regulations.

On July 5, Dong Nai Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Nguyen Thi Hong Bich (38 years old, residing in Vinh Thanh commune, Nhon Trach district) to investigate the crime of murder.

Bich was the one who poisoned T. (Bich's niece) with cyanide. In addition, Bich also confessed to using cyanide to poison her husband and two nieces to death.
