Mr. Tang Ba Sam (born in 1965) in Thanh Lang commune (Thanh Ha, Hai Duong) arbitrarily leveled land in the area of the sandbank adjacent to the Rang river dike.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Lang Commune (Thanh Ha), at around 4:00 p.m. on April 2, the commune received information that Mr. Tang Ba Sam's family in Hamlet 2, Lang Can 1 Village was arbitrarily using an excavator to level the cultivated land in the area adjacent to the Rang River dike. This has not been reported to the commune leaders and has not been permitted by the competent authority.
Mr. Sam's family rented about 10,000 square meters of land in Thanh Lang commune for agricultural production and exploitation of earthworms and clams. This is also the area that Thanh Ha district has approved for aquaculture planning. However, the land leveling of Mr. Sam's family has not had a specific plan and has not ensured legal procedures.
Thanh Lang Commune People's Committee has requested Mr. Sam's family to immediately stop leveling agricultural land. The commune will continue to verify the level of violation by Mr. Sam's family to report to Thanh Ha district for handling.
