Revealing 3 more assistants of coach Kim Sang-sik in the Vietnam team

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that coaches Le Duc Tuan, Luu Danh Minh and Ngo Viet Trung have joined the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team and U23 team. These are the three latest names revealed in coach Kim Sang-sik's assistant team.

Coach Le Duc Tuan helped Phu Dong Club win the 2018 Second Division Championship and gain promotion to the First Division in 2019. Mr. Tuan is also one of 22 Vietnamese experts holding the highest level of coaching certification in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) system.

Before being called up to the national team, Mr. Le Duc Tuan was the assistant head coach at Hanoi FC. The former national player was appointed as the interim head coach of the capital team in the AFC Champions League.

Meanwhile, coach Luu Danh Minh is a regular member of the coaching staff of the Vietnam national team and U23 team under Mr. Park Hang Seo. Goalkeeper coach Ngo Viet Trung works at Binh Phuoc Club and is currently on Philippe Troussier's assistant team for the Vietnam national team/U23 team.

Before the three Vietnamese assistant coaches mentioned above, VFF signed contracts with Mr. Choi Won-kwon and Sang Wuk-an (both Korean).

The Vietnam team is expected to gather again on June 1 to prepare for the final two matches in the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers, facing the Philippines at home (June 6) and Iraq away (June 11).

The Vietnamese team has also just determined its opponents in the group stage of the AFF Cup 2024 after yesterday's draw. Mr. Kim Sang-sik and his students will face Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Laos.
