After 1.5 days of exciting competition, on the morning of February 14, the 2025 Hai Duong Provincial Ethnic Wrestling Championship within the framework of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival program awarded prizes and closed.
The competition had 7 weight categories, the results were as follows: gold medal in the 45-50 kg category went to athlete Dinh Trong Hoa Binh; athlete Hoang Thanh Phuong won the gold medal in the 50-55 kg category; gold medal in the 55-60 kg category went to athlete Pham Xuan Bao; gold medal in the 60-65 kg category went to athlete Nguyen Ngoc Bach; gold medal in the 65-70 kg category went to athlete Nguyen Manh Thang. The above athletes are all from the Tu Ky district wrestling team.
The two gold medals of Nam Sach district belonged to athlete Nguyen Minh Thai (70-75 kg category) and athlete Pham Van Quan (over 75 kg category).
As a result, with 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals, the Tu Ky district wrestling team won first place overall. This is the 6th consecutive year that this locality has won first place overall.
Nam Sach district ranked second overall with 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Chi Linh city team ranked third overall with 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals.
According to the organizers, this year's tournament has a higher quality of wrestlers, with more young wrestlers than last year. The wrestlers brought the audience many attractive performances with technical punches, counter-attacks, and thrilling tug-of-wars.
