Thousands of runners conquer the spring route of Con Son - Kiep Bac

Thousands of runners from all over have gathered at Con Son - Kiep Bac to conquer the most challenging yet poetic running route in the North.

At 5:00 a.m. on February 16, under the early spring drizzle, more than 1,000 runners were present at the starting area, ready to conquer the half marathon (21 km) and full marathon (42 km) distances of the "Con Son, Kiep Bac - Journey of connecting cultural heritage" Marathon.

The running route takes athletes through famous relics of Hai Duong, through green pine hills, stone steps leading to Con Son Pagoda, Kiep Bac Temple.

Professional and amateur athletes come to Con Son - Kiep Bac not only to test their strength but also to enjoy the beauty of spring. Each step is not only a journey to conquer one's own limits but also an opportunity to immerse oneself in nature, contemplate history and enjoy the majesty and serenity of the mountains and forests of Chi Linh.

In addition to famous athletes such as Nguyen Thi Oanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Bui Thi Thu Ha, Luong Duc Phuoc..., the race also attracts thousands of amateur athletes from all over the country and abroad. In the photo is athlete Narendran Jayael conquering the 21 km half marathon distance.

Many amateur athletes participated in the race with the spirit of training for health and enjoying the journey. Running groups from many provinces and cities gathered, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Within the framework of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival, the event is not only a race but also a journey to explore the history, culture and nature of the land of Con Son - Kiep Bac.

"Queen of Athletics" Nguyen Thi Oanh finished the 42km race amid cheers and encouragement from locals and tourists.

Marathon lovers take photos with their idol Nguyen Thi Oanh. In her second season participating in the race, Nguyen Thi Oanh shared: "This year's running route is really different and impressive. There are some uphill sections where just looking down at the scenery below makes all the fatigue disappear."

On the running routes, athletes can visit Con Son Pagoda and Kiep Bac Temple during the traditional festival season. This is a special feature of the race, where sports blend with culture, helping each step not only bring training value but also a meaningful pilgrimage.

The organizers awarded prizes to female athletes who successfully completed the 42 km full marathon.
