Once having the best sanitation movement in Hai Duong province and being visited by President Ho Chi Minh, up to now, the people of Nam Chinh commune (Nam Sach) still remember and carry out Uncle Ho's teachings well.

Early Saturday morning, the members of the Women's Union of Nam Chinh commune together cleaned up the village roads, alleys and the grounds of Uncle Ho's Memorial House.

On February 15, 1965, Mrs. Vuong Thi Khe's house was visited by Uncle Ho because it had three clean sanitation facilities: a well, a bathroom, and a two-compartment toilet. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Vinh, Mrs. Khe's granddaughter, still remembers being told that Uncle Ho asked, "Is it clean every day or just today?" and Uncle Ho instructed that it must be clean every day. Up to now, her family still maintains a clean and hygienic lifestyle.

People in Nam Chinh commune actively implement the movement of classifying waste at source. The whole commune has more than 1,500 households but only about 60 households have organic waste that must be collected and transported to a centralized composting area. Most households have processed organic waste at home to make fertilizer.

Ms. Le Thi Lan in An Thuong village took the opportunity to clean up the area around her house gate, near the "Uncle Ho lotus pond". This is a small lake next to the Uncle Ho Memorial House, with lotus planted, so people call it "Uncle Ho lotus pond".

Until today, the people of Nam Chinh still remember Uncle Ho's teachings, working together to clean up and maintain public hygiene.
